Moving People Safely (RQF)
This is a nationally recognised and regulated qualification course which allows learners the opportunity to the develop knowledge and skills necessary for safe methods of physical handling of persons whom require assistance in moving and/or transport.

Intended Audience
The Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the needs of businesses and/or individuals requiring an awareness and practical understanding of proper “hands-on” management associated with safe-handling practices of individuals requiring assistance in a variety of limiting capacities.

This course is ideal for individuals professionally employed in elderly day-care centres; nursing homes; hospitals, and/or any volunteer setting where the movement or transfer of potentially vulnerable persons might exist.​
Course Overview
During this 2 day course, learners develop the knowledge and skills necessary for the safe handling and proper physical manipulation of persons requiring stationary or mobile assistance.

The topics covered in this course include (but are not limited to): the potential consequences of moving individuals improperly; common mishandling injuries; planning proper patient handling; proper use of equipment; preserving dignity, and general health and safety related concerns to manual handling of various persons.

Assessment Methods
There are 6 practical assessments and 2 theory exams in the form of multiple-choice questions (MCQ theory assessment) and continuous formative assessment throughout the course.

A failure to successfully complete this course seldom occurs, and every effort is made by each instructor to assure a successful understanding of the course material is achieved. However, if a student fails to successfully complete any module of the course, remediation is offered.
